Active Kent & Medway’s 2024 Conference will take place on Wednesday 16 October 2024 at the Kent Event Centre, Detling. The conference is open to representatives from across health, leisure, local council, voluntary, sport and activity sectors who share our vision to get more people, more active, more often.

Continuing our support of the county’s strategy for sport and physical activity Move Together, which was launched in 2023, the theme of this year’s conference is: promote equality, value diversity, support inclusion.

This free conference is an opportunity for local and national organisations to network and discuss how we can work together to support those who are already active, as well as tackling the inequalities that currently prevent some from enjoying the benefits that moving more can bring to physical and mental wellbeing.

“It’s been so valuable to meet people face to face. Lots of information gathered to help our projects. New contacts have been made for future partnership working.” 2023 Conference Delegate Feedback

Keynote Speaker

We are delighted to welcome Donna Fraser OBE as our keynote speaker. Donna is a 4x Olympian and former 400m sprinter for Great Britain. She has become a leader in equality diversity and inclusion with over 10 years of corporate experience within business, sport, leadership, well-being and PMA for both start-ups and established companies. Donna was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2021 for services to equality, inclusion and diversity in the workplace.
