Active Kent & Medway – Workforce and Community Development Officer
We are seeking to appoint a Workforce and Community Development Officer to work with sport and physical activity providers and the wider voluntary and community sector to help more of Kent and Medway’s residents to be more active, more often. This post provides an exciting opportunity for someone with a successful track record and experience of working with local communities to utilise community engagement to bring together sport and physical activity providers, the voluntary and community sector, and the communities they serve, to identify and better understand and support their workforce and wider needs.

Active Kent & Medway – Health, Equality and Inclusion Officer
We are seeking to appoint a Health, Equality and Inclusion Officer with the expertise and drive to engage health and inclusion partners and stakeholders with our vision of getting ‘more people, more active, more often’. The role provides an exciting opportunity to make a difference within the health and sport and physical activity sectors across Kent and Medway. The Officer will be working alongside and supported by the Strategic Lead for Health & Physical Activity to advocate for, and support development of, physical activity opportunities in Kent and Medway where the need is greatest.

Work Experience / Placement
Active Kent & Medway receives many requests from people looking to undertake work experience or placements within the service.
Any enquiries for work placements must go through Kent County Council, where you will find details of the types of placements which can be offered and the application form.
We also suggest that those looking for work experience get in touch with the Sports Development unit in their local area, who may be able to offer opportunities. It is important to note that work experience cannot be guaranteed.
