Active Kent & Medway – Community Development Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed and self-motivated individual to join the Active Kent & Medway team as a Community Development Officer (Sport and Physical Activity). It is an exciting time for our organisation, we have rebranded from Kent Sport and launched Move Together, a new countywide strategy to support more people, to be more active, more often.
The ideal candidate will have experience in community development, and a passion for sport and physical activity. You will be able to support us in working more closely with the voluntary and community sector, and create successful partnerships with sport and physical activity providers, to help us better understand and serve the needs of Kent’s communities.
Deadline for applications is 18 June 2023. Interviews will be conducted on 30 June 2023.

Kent Cricket – Cricket4London Development Officer (Women & Girls)
Kent Cricket are looking to recruit a Cricket Development Officer to support the London boroughs of Kent and wider area, with a focus on the development of female cricket. This position will have an initial focus area of Southeast London, but will also support the development of female cricket across the whole of South London (Surrey and Kent) and will have strong ties to the South East Stars Regional Centre.

Two year programme starting in September 2022 designed for students who are currently working in a physical education setting and who want to obtain a qualification whilst only attending university one day a week.

A natural follow on from the Foundation Degree, on successful completion of this students will obtain a BA (Hons) in Physical Education and Physical Activity. Again, this programme is only one day a week. The next cohort will start in September 2022.

Work Experience / Placement
Active Kent & Medway receives many requests from people looking to undertake work experience or placements within the service.
Any enquiries for work placements must go through Kent County Council, where you will find details of the types of placements which can be offered and the application form.
We also suggest that those looking for work experience get in touch with the Sports Development unit in their local area, who may be able to offer opportunities. It is important to note that work experience cannot be guaranteed.
