I am 15 and I compete at a national level for triathlon. Last year was my first year stepping up to this level and towards the end of the season, I had some good races, finishing 15th at the Grand Final national super series in September. I was seventh at the national cross country championships a couple of years ago, and won the South East Region inter county cross-country in February 2023. I am fully committed to a top ten finish in the triathlon super series in 2024 and to breaking the 15min barrier for 5k.
How does the FANS scheme support you?
The FANS scheme in Kent helps me use the facilities around me, including The Weald sports centre, Tenterden leisure centre and Cyclopark. It allows me to train at different places which I need to help develop myself into the best I can be. In the future, I hope to be competing at the highest level possible in triathlon.
Would you recommend the FANS scheme?
Definitely. The FANS scheme has really helped me grow as an athlete.
