The University Consultancy Service – Sports Lab – is open to any schools who would like to bring their pupils to visit the University and experience age-appropriate physical activity in the labs.

Kent County Council: Active Travel Team

Kent County Council’s Active Travel team supports schools with any queries or activities around the promotion, enablement and education of safer active and sustainable travel. They provide a range of resources, virtual support, initiatives, and face to face training to assist with improving practical road safety skills and increasing active travel journeys on the school run. They also support schools in tackling problematic parking and congestion.


Kent Cricket

Kent Cricket delivers the Chance to Shine cricket programme to schools across the county working with around 150 schools every year. The programmes are fully funded and 100% free to schools. Their coaches are fully trained and DBS checked. The curriculum they deliver has been designed with the aid of the Youth Sports Trust with teachers in mind to aid your planning. They also offer one off ‘Engagement Days’ promoting cricket within schools and run local and county cricket competitions.


LTA

LTA provide schools a number of free resources, teacher training and exclusive offers. Their Primary programme includes detailed inclusive PE lesson plans with supporting videos, teacher personal development opportunities as well as intra and inter school competitions.

Skip2Bfit is a unique workshop designed to motivate children to be active through the use of counting skipping ropes. The children are captivated by the fact that the ropes keep track of the number of skips they perform. We teach them how to skip like a boxer and challenge them to achieve the highest number of skips in a 2-minute period. To encourage their participation, we utilise music tracks that are precisely timed for two minutes and incorporate voice-overs to keep them engaged.
