Steve is an education consultant with significant leadership and teaching experience in secondary, further and higher education. He has also lead teacher training programmes for primary non specialists.

He is a physical education specialist and is currently undertaking significant roles for the Association for Physical Education including as lead on the Sport England Teacher Training project, as the national lead for health and safety, and he is a member of the group researching schools placing PE at the heart of the school.  He has also been involved in school inspection for over twenty years.

Ali Oliver MBE, Youth Sport TrustImage of Ali Olver

Ali is the Chief Executive at the Youth Sport Trust, an independent charity devoted to building a brighter future for young people through the power of sport.

Ali joined the Youth Sport Trust in 2004 as a member of the senior leadership team and became the CEO in 2015. Prior to this Ali was the Deputy Director of Sport at the University of Bath having joined as the course leader for the Physical Education Initial Teacher Training programme. Before this Ali was Head of PE at Millfield School, having started her career as teacher in Essex.

In 2019 Ali received an honorary doctorate of the University of Bath, she was recognized as the Best Leader (not for profit category) in the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies in 2020, and in the same year was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List.

Graham Razey OBE, Active Kent and Medway Board ChairGraham Razey

Graham is the Chief Executive of EKC Group, a family of six colleges and four business units that deliver a wealth of technical, vocational and academic education across the whole of east Kent.

Graham acts as a National Leader of Further Education, and is also a member of the Principals’ Reference Group which helps to shape national skills policy and acts as a sounding board for the Government’s Further Education Commissioner. He received his OBE for services to education in the 2019 Queen’s New Year Honours list.

Sarah Philpott in 2022 became the first English female to conquer the original British Triple Crown of open water swimming completing the British Channel, English Channel and North Channel.

Sarah’s love of the ocean means she is passionate about the environment and spends her spare time educating children in schools about the part we can play to protect our blue spaces.
