Prarinna profile pictureI’m Prarinna. I’m 15 years old and I am part of Herne Bay United roller skating club. I’ve been competing for many many years now and roller skating is now my whole life. I train for competitions or to just get away from everything.

What are your sporting achievements to date?

In skating I have had many ups and down but I’ve had the titles of 1st place couples dance at winter solos in 2021. I’ve also had titles in 2024. I competed in the British Championships and I finished my first program, which was my style dance, in 9th place with a high score of 18.99. I also had a title of top 10 in style dance and competed my other program and finished in 13th. I am very pleased with myself.

How has the FANS scheme helped you reach where you are now?

The FANS scheme has been very helpful to me. The scheme supports me when I need extra training and keeps me motivated for the gym to get myself fitter to be able to compete to my full potential at artistic roller skating.  I visit Herne Bay Herons for gym and swimming and I also go to the Bay Sports Arena where my training is held.

What are your hopes and dreams for the future?

I’m hoping to go very far with my skating and staying as fit and motivated as I possibly can. Skating is my life and my passion and I can’t wait to see more of my journey. I am also hoping to get myself some sponsorship for training gear and clothing lines.

Thank you Prarinna for sharing your story. We wish you all the best and look forward to following your sporting journey.
