Sport England logoAs Local Authorities face increasing pressure on resources, procurement frameworks have become the preferred approach for sourcing goods and services. These frameworks are widely acknowledged as a quicker and more streamlined method to meet procurement needs. Whilst not a complete readymade solution, frameworks provide a partially developed structure that authorities can customise to meet their specific requirements.

The Active Environments Framework is a fully compliant framework that has been developed to provide high quality, consistent consultancy support to help deliver Active Environments, with a focus on Strategic Outcome Planning, Leisure Service Delivery, Assessments of Need, Town Planning and Urban Design.

This Framework compliments Sport England’s existing guidance by enhancing capacity and capability among key partners. It helps stakeholders clearly define local strategic outcomes, develop evidence-based insights for communities or places, and make targeted investment and planning decisions that align with local objectives.
