Our review looks back at the people, projects and partnerships that have helped shape the year, sharing what we’ve achieved together and what we’ve learned along the way. Whether you’ve worked with us, supported our programmes or simply share our vision of more people, more active, more often across Kent and Medway, thank you for being part of the journey.

We Roam in Kent

We Roam is expanding across Kent after a successful 6-month pilot in Gravesham. WeRoam is a free, Kent-based app designed to get people moving more by turning everyday walking, wheeling, and cycling into fun local adventures. It encourages users to explore their surroundings by collecting virtual “Roam Markers,” earning points, and taking part in low-pressure weekly and monthly challenges, all without the need for a gym or specialist equipment.

With a focus on wellbeing as well as activity, the app helps people discover new places nearby, build healthy habits at their own pace, and feel the mental and physical benefits of spending more time outdoors.

5k Your Way is a community-based initiative to encourage those living with and beyond cancer, families, friends, and those working in cancer services to walk, jog, run, cheer or volunteer at a local 5k Your Way parkrun event on the last Saturday of every month.

Each of the 5k Your Way meet ups in Kent have ambassadors who will meet and greet at a designated meeting spot and also take part in the walk/run with participants. After the walk/run, the ambassadors will gather everyone together for socialising over a much-needed drink.
