Without volunteers clubs wouldn’t run, people wouldn’t take part in sport and other activities, and communities would lose a vital asset. One volunteer creates the capacity for 8.5 more people to play. Volunteers have always played a vital part in the sport and physical activity sector. Without them, most activity simply wouldn’t happen.
We’ve pulled together some advice and guidance to help develop volunteering across Kent & Medway.
Sport England Volunteering Q&A
Volunteers make a vital contribution to community sport. Sport England’s Active Lives Adult Survey shows that a total of 6.2 million adults give their time at least twice a year to help make sport and physical activity happen. With that in mind, they’ve compiled a series of questions and answers designed to help your organisation or project achieve its goals while creating a more enjoyable, meaningful volunteering experience for all.
