Have Your Say

Unpaid Carers Survey

Kent County Council is working in partnership with Voluntary Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations to undertake a Health Needs Assessment, which will review the health needs of unpaid carers in Kent. The purpose of this work is to provide an evidence base to support ongoing action in Kent to support unpaid carers.

If you are currently or have ever been a carer for a family member, partner, friend or neighbour, they want to hear from you through their anonymous survey. Responses will help them understand the health and wellbeing needs of unpaid carers in Kent and help make recommendations for further actions.

Survey closes on Sunday 22 February 2026.

Everyday Active Partner Toolkit

""

The Everyday Active Partner Toolkit is designed to help local partners, health and care professionals promote the benefits of moving more to their patients and service users. Everyday Active was launched by Active Kent & Medway in 2020, following extensive community consultation and engagement. The campaign and website were devised to:

  • help promote physical activities and sessions offered by partners across the county, who are trying to reach new, less active audiences.
  • assist health and care practitioners in having effective conversations with their patients about physical activity, that can lead to meaningful and sustainable behaviour change.

Included in the toolkit are digital or hard copy posters (free to order or download), logos and suggested social media posts. You can also access all the resources via the Active Kent & Medway google drive.

Menopause screening is to be officially incorporated into NHS health checks in England for the first time. Women getting the checks – offered to adults aged 40 to 74 every five years – will be asked about the menopause and possible symptoms from next year. The aim is to identify women who may benefit from advice and support, including treatment, such as hormone replacement therapy (HRT), drugs to combat hot-flushes and counselling.
