Active Kent & Medway is delighted to announce that Liz Davidson has been appointed as our new Active Partnership Director. She brings with her a wealth of experience from a 20 year career working in the sport and physical activity sector, and fills the role vacated by Kevin Day in 2020.
Liz’s most recent job was Head of Engagement at British Shooting, but she has also worked for Women in Sport and UK Athletics as well as running her own consultancy business. Through this she built relationships with a range of clients including UK Sport, Sport England, The FA, England Athletics, Swim England, and the British Athletes Commission.
I’m delighted to be joining the Kent and Medway Active Partnership and really looking forward to working with the team and our partners to get more people, more active, more often within the county.
She is an advocate for the benefits physical activity has on people’s physical and mental wellbeing, demonstrated by her involvement with the Team Phoenix Foundation as a trustee. The charity supports women who have had, or are living with, breast cancer to complete the personal challenge of completing a triathlon.
Liz previously competed for Great Britain as a triple jumper and continues to enjoy running and cycling. She lives in Rochester where her children are members of local hockey and cricket clubs.
