Families with children
Organisation: Home-Start Dover District is a voluntary organisation that is committed to promoting the welfare of families with young children under the age of 11. The volunteers support parents learn to cope, improve their confidence, and build better lives for their children.
Project Overview: The fund was used to support physical activity equipment for a family fun day in the park. This included footballs, beanbag, hoops and tunnels. The day offered children and their families an opportunity to be active and socialise in a safe environment.

- Development of fine and gross motor skills
Key Learnings: Location is key. Identify and use places and locations that are visible, accessible, and familiar.
Next Steps: Home-Start will continue to use the equipment to develop children’s gross and fine motor skills and hope to host more family days to support their families physical, social and mental needs.
