Project Overview
Village Golf Club is a 12-hole pitch and putt style golf course set in parkland on the outskirts of Staplehurst village. The course can be played by all standards, from junior players, those new to the game or experienced players who want to improve their short game.
Active Kent & Medway awarded the club £2,500 towards a storage container so machinery could be stored safely and securely. Additional funds from two other grants and their own reserves enabled the club to make a concrete base and ramp, erect a security bollard and purchase and fit a new lock.
The club worked with the community payback team to undertake ground works, this reduced costs and allowed offenders to give back to the community.
