Workforce Futures Pathways is our structured approach to supporting people into, through and beyond careers in physical activity, sport, and health. It brings together learning, skills development and real-world experience to help individuals progress at every stage of their journey.
Whether someone is taking their first step into the sector or looking to grow and specialise, Workforce Futures Pathways provides a clear route forward, connecting people with opportunities, employers and support across Kent and Medway. Active Kent & Medway works in partnership with local organisations to ensure pathways are relevant, inclusive and aligned to the needs of our communities and workforce.
Who is Workforce Futures Pathways for?
Workforce Futures Pathways is designed for anyone interested in building a career in the physical activity, sport and wellbeing sector, including:
- Young people exploring future career options
- Individuals looking to enter the workforce or change careers
- Volunteers wanting to develop and progress
- Existing staff seeking to upskill or take the next step
We are particularly focused on supporting underrepresented groups and those who may face barriers to employment, helping to create a more diverse and inclusive workforce across Kent and Medway.
How do I get involved?
There are different ways to get involved with Workforce Futures Pathways, whether you are an individual looking to develop your career or an organisation wanting to support and grow the workforce.
For Employers and Partners:
- Shape the future workforce and work with us to design pathways that reflect your workforce needs.
- Offer opportunities and provide placements, volunteering roles or entry points into employment.
