Mencap – Community Partner (Worthing, Sussex and Thanet, Kent)

Mencap have an exciting opportunity in their Active Community programme for a Community Partner to work across two coastal communities – Worthing (Sussex) and Thanet (Kent). They are looking for someone with knowledge of the sport and wellbeing sector, who enjoys getting people active within communities and has the mindset for community-led ways of working. The successful candidate will join an existing team of four Community Partners who are working in seven other communities across England.

Kent Cricket – Men’s Head Coach

Kent Cricket are seeking to appoint a Men’s Head Coach to establish a high-performance culture that drives consistent success across all formats of the game. They aim to be a team that continually competes for honours in the County Championship, T20 Blast, and One-Day Cup, while fostering a culture of discipline, accountability, and relentless improvement. The Head Coach will work in partnership with the Director of Cricket, captains, and support staff to shape a unified team ethos, setting high standards for performance and behaviour.

StreetGames – Workforce & Community Development Lead (London & South East)

StreetGames is an innovative UK charity with a focus on transforming the lives of children and young people from low-income, under-served communities through sport and physical activity. They are seeking a workforce & community development lead (London & South East). The post holder will be responsible for developing and delivering a workforce development plan to grow and maintain a workforce to enable an all year-round multi-sport offer in their priority places.

Work Experience / Placement

Active Kent & Medway receives many requests from people looking to undertake work experience or placements within the service.

Any enquiries for work placements must go throughKent County Council, where you will find details of the types of placements which can be offered and the application form.

We also suggest that those looking for work experience get in touch with the Sports Development unit in their local area, who may be able to offer opportunities. It is important to note that work experience cannot be guaranteed.
