Active Kent & Medway – Place Programme Manager

Active Kent & Medway is looking for a collaborative, driven, inspiring and innovative Place Programme Manager to join our fantastic team. You will lead our place partnership work with organisations and communities, in the areas of greatest need, to really understand the issues preventing people from being active and help co-create change. You will also work strategically to influence policy and develop and implement local solutions, creating the conditions for people to be more active. The Place Programme Manager will be supported by the Strategic Lead for Marketing, Strategy and Insight and oversee and direct the day-to-day work of local community connectors.

Working across our team and with a broad range of partners and communities you will help plan, coordinate and deliver insight, monitoring, evaluation and learning functions, to help inform decisions and demonstrate the impact of our work. You will help us to understand the lived experience of local communities, support our place partnership work and enhance system collaboration to help get more people, more active, more often.

Active Kent & Medway receives many requests from people looking to undertake work experience or placements within the service.

Any enquiries for work placements must go throughKent County Council, where you will find details of the types of placements which can be offered and the application form.

We also suggest that those looking for work experience get in touch with the Sports Development unit in their local area, who may be able to offer opportunities. It is important to note that work experience cannot be guaranteed.
