Become a qualified running group leader
If you’re a regular runner and have the passion to encourage others to do the same, why not become a running group leader and set up your own beginner-friendly running group in Kent or support an existing group?
To become a qualified and fully insured Run Leader, all you have to do is attend the one day Leadership in Running Fitness (LiRF) Course delivered by England Athletics and apply for a DBS check through UK Athletics. The LiRF course is designed to equip new leaders with the knowledge and skills required to lead mixed ability groups of walkers, joggers and runners.
Whether you want to become a guide runner or find a guide runner to support your runs, England Athletics have teamed up with British Blind Sport to offer a Sight Loss Awareness and Guide Running workshop and a Guide Runner Database.
Mental Health Ambassadors
England Athletics Mental Health Ambassador programme aims to establish a network of volunteer ambassadors in running clubs and groups across England to support people who are experiencing mental health problems to start running, get back into running, or continue running, as well as to improve the mental wellbeing of their existing members.
