The Kent and Medway Primary PE Conference 2022 took place on Wednesday 15th June, 9:00am – 4:00pm at Kent Events Centre, Detling. We were delighted to welcome primary schools from across Kent and Medway to our annual Primary PE Conference. This full day face to face conference provided the chance to hear from leading experts and take away ideas to implement in schools.
The agenda for the day included 3 keynotes: Fiona Firth from the Youth Sport Trust – The future of school games; Zoe Fish, Kent Community NHS Foundation Trust – Healthy Weight, Reframing our approach through wellbeing, and; Steven Caldecott, Association for Physical Education – Planning a high quality ambitious physical education curriculum.
There was an enlightening question and answer session with students from local primary schools sharing their thoughts on PE and Sport in schools. Delegates then had the opportunity to attend two of four workshops: Active 60; The FA Girls Football School Partnership; What does it look and feel like to be a pupil at our school within the context of PE and School Sport?; Rethinking your role as a PE lead.
The interactive marketplace attracted a lot of interested and participation during the breaks and lunch and included skateboarding, surfing, balance bikes and many more activities.
Below you will find links to the Keynote speaker presentations, the Workshops and the Marketplace along with a short video of the day.
